Is Reality Real? In Search of Truth Among Illusions

Hi! Have you ever wondered if reality is real? I’m sure you have. After all, every thinking person has probably asked themselves similar questions. We all periodically struggle with questions about who I am, where I am, why I’m here, and what the meaning of life is, right? I’d like to share my thoughts on this matter, if you don’t mind.

First of all, I’d like to point out that everything I say here is my personal opinion, based on my own experiences and beliefs. So please don’t take it as the absolute truth.

Is reality real?

This fundamental question has tormented countless inquisitive minds throughout human history. And I’m no exception. The paradox is that the older you get, the more questions arise that don’t have a single, definitive answer. The more you learn, the more the boundaries of the unknown expand.

I remember as a child simply living, exploring this world, and rarely asking such questions. However, as I grew older, studied faith and science, reflected on my personal experiences, and daily consumed, filtered, and analyzed a huge amount of useful and unnecessary information online, I gradually began to ask questions.

You’ve probably seen movies like The Matrix, The 13th Floor, The Truman Show, and the like. Don’t take them as absolute truth handed to you on a silver platter. Nevertheless, these films provide us with clues and food for thought. What if reality is an illusion? What if the world isn’t real? What if we live in the Matrix or a simulation? And there are many such questions.

You know what’s interesting: there is no single correct answer to these questions. They can’t be solved like a mathematical equation; they are questions of abstract thought and philosophy. Each person must answer them for themselves, based on their life experiences and established worldview.

As for me, I believe I am a human being with an immortal soul — a particle of Almighty God, the creator of the universe. And through us, the bearers and observers of this divine particle, the universe, that is, God, we can observe and know Him in all His manifestations. I also lean toward the idea of different branches of reality, as this would be very logical and would significantly speed up the process of gathering the necessary information and self-knowledge. As for the question of whether reality is real, for me, reality is simultaneously real and unreal, like a simulation. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments.
